(Filling in for Cos) This is the "Whiffle Edition" (remember back in the YMB days when we had a Marketplace Wrap - ____ Edition?) ;D "And it went... nowhere." The $VIX was elevated for the 2nd straight day in a green market (or, in today's case, a much less red market than it was at the open). This is the type of divergence one should be looking for in a topping process. The spx was green for the 5th day in a row, although only one of those days was more than a very baby bullish move; this suggests that despite much selling into the rally, there is too much upward pricing pressure to drop too low. 'Up we go' continues to hold as we continue to grind higher. Bulls and bears alike are being dragged into the market; the question is when they are all finally in. As much as we have gone up, I still don't think we are very close to that point. Hope everyone made some money today and will do so tomorrow. members please post your results along with your RDA of smileys.

maybe I mean what if I have an emergency nap or something? The question is, does a klaxon alert sound in the case that there is a slumber emergency?

Did some housecleaning/risk management. HGSI Nov 32 Call, naked short at 2.95/share, bought to close at 0.80/share, net $2.15 profit. HGSI has really high implied volatility leading up to their FDA advisory panel on Benlysta on Nov. 16th. I think I could have held these safely until Nov. 10th or so, or even till expiration after the panel. Benlysta is almost certain to be approved, and I think most of that is built in to the price at this point (26-27), so I don't see the 32 calls finishing in the money. But, I've squeezed 2/3rd of the value out of these so far, and don't really feel like risking the last 1/3rd. Still short HGSI Nov 25 Puts, though, which I'm currently up $0.31/share on. SVNT Nov 23 Call - naked short at 1.10, bought to close today at .04 for a net of $1.06/share. These are essentially dead now with SVNT trading at $11.60, so this is house cleaning. SVNT Nov 25 Call - naked short at 1.46, bought to close today at .02 for a net of $1.44/share. House cleaning.
Also increased my SVNT position yesterday and today Bought long at $11.39, bringing my average price to $17.19. Currently down $5.60/share (ouchie) SVNT Dec 12 Put - naked short at $1.48/share. Currently down around $0.18/share SVNT Nov 11 Put - naked short at $0.40/share. Currently down around $0.12/share
I'm hoping SVNT rallies enough next week that I can start selling some calls against it. Right now, the Nov 16 Calls are trading between 0.07-0.12, and I'm hoping I can do better.

Booked gains on my 3x etf shorts plays and made 3% today. I thought about going long but changed my mind. Everything appears to look bullish although it could be bennies Pomos at work. Bought a lil of Fas before the close and Ive kept 80% of the powder dry. Hope everyone made money today and will do so tomorrow.

Wow - Did I get faked out at the open - I had my mind set on a Bear which is how it came out of the gate starting with PM and while I was close to pulling the trigger to buy(sell) FAS(FAZ) in the first 5 minutes, my brain so no, holdout, you can do better and I ended up sitting on the bench, no trades but watching the Bidu guys dominating the playing field - Way to go guys - See you in the am - Dave

Hamm posts over there occasionally, other than that, it is a wasteland. Have not seen T3F their either.

I swing by on occasion to drop some breadcrumbs in case some are still looking. Fastopians are well recognized across all YMB lands and people still look for us. but nothing beats here and all of you. some mention the separation of topics between tradetalk and everything else but I still think it's the best. we have the institute, and all of the best from YMB. THEY were the ones that said in 3-6 months Fastopia would be gone. funny how the opposite is true. Carry on, Fastopia.

Last time I went over (which was awhile ago), I thought it would be "fun." Man was I wrong. It was just sad and depressing. Finding anyone intelligent over there (I'm sure there are some) is like finding a needle in a haystack. Like a Hydrogen bomb went off there and these are the life-forms that are left. I don't think the Gapper/name can be neutralized. They are impervious to everything!!
