BUSINESSMARCH 30, 2011, 8:17 P.M. ET Sands China Faces Hong Kong Probe
By KATE O'KEEFFE
HONG KONG—Las Vegas Sands Corp. unit Sands China Ltd. said Thursday it is being investigated by Hong Kong's securities regulator for alleged breaches of provisions of the Securities and Futures Ordinance.
The company said in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange that the Securities and Futures Commission has asked the company to produce "certain documents," and it "is not permitted to comment further at this time."
Las Vegas Sands said in its annual report filed this month that it had received a subpoena from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission requesting the company produce documents related to its compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and that the U.S. Justice Department "is conducting a similar investigation." The law prohibits U.S. companies from making payments to foreign officials to get or keep business.
The U.S. gambling giant said it believed the subpoena stemmed from allegations in a wrongful-termination lawsuit filed in October against the company by its former head of Macau operations, Steve Jacobs. The Nevada Gaming Control Board said it has also initiated an investigation into the same matter.

Bomb #2
We'll assume that the initial bombing run was done about 2 weeks ago when the news first 'broke' about the lawsuit.
I'm a gonna keep count with ya Maxi. I think this is important when the market goes after a well known 'good trading stock.' We can learn a lot.

Price won't even matter eventually. It's about how they do it.
No one will want it (for TRADING) so it'll become a low beta POS with some earnings.

It is - I agree. It's the 'mechanism' at work here that I'm chronicling. I'm probably wrong here. But I have a feeling, and I'm not afraid to express it and document it. I remember I had a very bad feeling about APWR too, and I took a lot of crap. I hope I saved some people some real money.
I have a bad feeling about LVS and what's happening here. Again, it's all about the trading of the stock, not whether one should consider owning it.

I don't think this is any more than a formality and another buying opportunity.

That is my thought too DeMan. If I was fast enough I would sell my shares and buy back more but I am not ever awake enough in the early morning to do that.

However, I believe we are now a few bucks North of where you first expressed it. We may have a wild ride tomorrow but I dont think it goes anywhere.

Well I had always considered 42-43 the new resistance zone, since it's broad math I'm using a broad stroke here, so it'll remain to be tested. If we pull back from here, I will be right in selling my calls most likely tomorrow but I suspect a gap down... I will then sell on any strength. We should probably head back to 38-39 area for more regrouping.
